IDS Year-End Awards Celebration & Through the Levels Symposium
November 20, 2021
$35We are putting on an event unlike anything we’ve ever hosted! This year’s event will be hosted at an incredible, new dressage training facility and feature a live dressage symposium in addition to our traditional awards ceremony. To make it even better, winners from of the IDS High Percentage Awards in the JR/YR, AA, and Open divisions will receive an invitation to serve as our demonstration riders!
IDS Year-End Awards Celebration Luncheon – SOLD OUT!
We hope everyone can join us for a different type of awards ceremony this year. During the symposium we will have a two-hour lunch break where we will have a chance to mingle and catch up with friends. A catered lunch will be provided as part of the registration fee. During the luncheon, we will present the IDS High Percentage awards, Ride-Off Championship awards, and the Perpetual Award trophies. In addition, we have several door prizes that will be given out. This will be a more casual gathering than we have had in the past. Our planning has considered safety during the pandemic.
The Awards Luncheon from noon to 2pm will feature a mix, mingle, and sit menu focused on food to be enjoyed while relaxing in the company of other dressage lovers. Sahm’s Catering will provide a fun menu of both warm and cold tapas which will include vegetarian, meat lovers, and gluten-free offerings. IDS will provide a gourmet dessert bar as well. County Saddlery has graciously provided sponsorship of the beverage bar for the day. Coffee and waters will be available throughout the day; and a beer, wine and soda station will be available from lunch until 5 pm. We will be celebrating our winners with a champagne toast at lunchtime.
Please join us in celebrating the accomplishments our members have achieved this year.
Dressage Through the Levels with Angela Jackson (and IDS Demo Riders!)
Angela Jackson will lead a Dressage Through the Levels symposium wrapped around Year-End Awards Celebration luncheon. The symposium is designed to show the fundamentals of dressage and how they are built upon at each level, from Intro through Grand Prix.
This isn’t an event where our members will just observe, instead the 2021 IDS High Percentage Award winners in each division will be invited to serve as demonstration riders. IDS will draw from our membership to fill the symposium as needed if any invitation spots are unfilled.
Padded chairs will be setup in the arena and ready for you to enjoy the Symposium.

Our Hosts – Far Away Farms
Far Away Farms is an absolutely gorgeous, private dressage training facility owned by IDS Member Laurie Rich and her husband Tom just minutes outside the northwest corner of I-465. Laurie and Tom built Far Away Farms not just for their own horses, but with the desire to also generously welcome the dressage community in for clinics with top instructors. We’d like to thank them for being such gracious hosts!
