Indiana Dressage Festival I & II 2020 Report

The Indiana Dressage Festival I & II were held at the Hoosier Horse Park on August 15 & 16, 2020. A super big thank you to all the competitors for supporting the shows! I felt everyone made the best of the current requirements regarding social distancing and mask wearing. Having to wear a mask does not increase ones comfort level on a hot, humid day! Sunday brought a welcome relief to the humidity and heat with a pleasant breeze. Very unusual for being at the HHP in summertime, we did not experience any thunder storms!

Black Horse One eDressage technology added a layer of protection by cutting down the usual necessary personal interaction between the office and competitor and allowed for much faster results reporting.

The weekend was filled with good riding, beautiful horses and positive attitudes.

Thank you to Allison Whistler, our Volunteer Coordinator and our wonderful crew of volunteers that made the show hum along. Thank you to our judges, Susan Mandas and Ellie Stine-Masek. Thank you to our Technical Delegate, Beth Davidson. Thank you to our Show Secretary, Teresa Uddo, who can fix about anything and our Show Manager, Angelique LeVell. Angelique does so much to help with pre-show and post-show set ups and tear downs and keeps things running in between. Our wonderful EMT, Shanda Hibbs added COVID requirements and temperature taking to her job description. An IDS USEF/USDF show would not be the same without Eric Sampson, our Announcer Extraordinaire. I have requested a lifetime contract from Eric (no answer as of this writing).
